Head to Danville’s Institute today from 11 AM to 4 PM and have a great time learning about local businesses! Although some people may not believe this, I have no problem admitting that I was wrong. I was wrong. Last Update: Danville City Sheriff’s Race – Update #2 Now it’s getting interesting… At least he knew how the booking procedure worked… *Updated to add comments on Jessica Griffith’s performance* Wayne Booth, Mike Mondul and Thelbert Childress got together for a debate today. If you didn’t see the taped coverage on WGSR, you can view the entire debate on DanvilleCityNews.com. Let’s have some thoughts about what happened… If you have any interest in the Danville’s Sheriff race, you need to watch WGSR-TV tonight in the 7 PM hour. Our friends at WGSR-TV have worked with the Martinsville Speedway to get you a great deal for the NASCAR Sprint Cup race coming up on Sunday, October 25th. How about getting a ticket to the race and a famous Martinsville Speedway hot dog for $25? Click the cutline for details… Want to see some of the fun from Saturday’s Reidsville Fall Festival? We just got a notification from the Halifax Police Department… There’s a new development in this case. One rather large development, in fact. If you want to see an awesome craftsman at work, read on… When I first saw this blog, I didn’t pay much attention to it. I went back and read some more today. If you want to see how a street festival should be, this is the textbook example. I talked to Rosalee Maxwell & Heather Vipperman today about the Bright Leaf Brew Fest controversy. Now that we’ve heard the response from the Director of Danville Tourism, here are my thoughts on the matter. Barnes & Noble is getting rid of the last stores that have the B. Dalton name. Kiss another store in Piedmont Mall goodbye. Seward: Do not insult my intelligence by stringing together a bunch of crap in a direct-mail piece. Three people were arrested are are in jail under bond. Who says that the tobacco economy is dead? Sorry for the delay on this one, but it slid into our “junk mail” folder. Oopsie. Something’s happening in Danville on Thursday… Rosalee Maxwell, the Director of Tourism for the City of Danville, has written a very detailed response to the concerns noted in SouthsideCentral’s “The Brew Fest Scandal Fest” article. Although her comments were in the original article, I feel that they also deserve the same article status as the original story. Click on the cutline below to see Rosalee’s response. The Institute for Advanced Learning & Research hosted the “Southern Virginia Bioenergy: Making Innovation Work” conference on Tuesday. SouthsideCentral was there and was highly impressed at what progress is being made in the bioenergy field. Dell just announced their plans to close their Winston-Salem manufacturing plant. Wow! Let’s hop in the Time Machine and head back to the 2004 Democratic Presidential Primary. I had a little fun with it. Surprise, surprise! It’s getting interesting now. Let’s take a look at what he had to say… |
