Danville’s 2016 Festival in the Park – Part #7

We’re making our way to the end of the food section at Danville’s Festival in the Park and then we’ll head behind the scenes where you can look at some of the public safety efforts that kept everybody safe. Let’s roll!

We continue where we left off in Part #6

It’s not shaved ice, it’s shave ice. And that’s also repeated on the banner sign on the side of this vendor.

Some vendors don’t spend much money on decorating their food trucks.

It was on;y 15 minutes after the gates opened, but this area of picnic tables filled up quickly soon after I took this photo.

Danville’s Emergency Services department used their command post trailer for the event.

The sky camera was aimed at the front entrance of Ballou Park.

The command post trailer has a big observation deck on top of it.

When you open the back gate of the command post trailer, you’ll find um… a door. So there.

This police scooter goes faster than Leonard Harville’s scooter, because Leonard’s scooter seems to be deceased.

Even though Festival in the Park isn’t an official City of Danville event, the city provides lots of services to make the event work well. Here’s a line of city vehicles ready to go.
