Pennrose Mall: Still Dead (Part #5)

In the National Football League, piling on is a 15-yard personal foul penalty. Here at SouthsideCentral, it’s just an excuse to have fun at Reidsville’s Pennrose Mall’s expense. Part #5 is ready to go!

Here’s the links to the other articles we’ve published in this series: Part #1Part #2Part #3Part #4

We left off closely examining the Peanut Shack Of Doom. We shall continue.

If you’re stupid enough to try to re-open the Peanut Shack Of Doom as your new small business, at least you’ll be stocked with some supplies in advance. Here, we find some drink cup lids that appear to have been tossed in the air like someone don’t care.

And you’ll also start your failing business with a stack of foam drink cup carrier trays!

This hole appears to go directly into the Abyss of Pennrose Mall. I was afraid to get any closer.

Something in the rafters is emitting small green lights. At full zoom, it appeared to be some Christmas decorations. I’m guessing they’re still plugged in somewhere.

More free supplies for you! It appears that someone just threw this box on the roof of the building one day and it’s remained there for years.

Walking back to the middle of Pennrose Mall, we find buckets placed in a mysterious line pattern. There’s no leaks here, so there’s no explanation why these buckets aren’t being deployed up where the water is standing on the concrete floor.

One Stop Voting polls have been closed here for a very long time.

Flint, Michigan’s water problems have nothing on this dead Pennrose Mall water fountain.

Well, well. Children are actually riding the 25 cent kiddie rides outside of Roses. I’m obliged to point out the stray Roses’ shopping carts in the middle of the floor.

That’s the end of Part #5. We’ll be back soon with Part #6 so hold your laughter. Or just keep laughing. Heh.
