TYOB!: “The Lion King Jr.” – This Weekend! – (Part #3)

Let’s wrap up our PhotoCentral look at a Thing You Oughta Be doing tonight and tomorrow…

The North Star Theatre Project is going to be running an amazing production of Disney’s “The Lion King Jr.” over two weekends. Over 30 local kids (and many behind-the-scenes adults) have come together for this summer’s feature show. We’re already published Part #1 and Part #2 in this series. On to Part #3!

The play showtimes are: Tonight, Saturday, June 27 at 7:30 PM & Sunday, June 28 at 2 PM. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children & students. The show is at Danville’s Historic North Theatre. Tickets are available online and at the box office on the night of the show.

We’ll continue where we left off…

The set’s finished by now, but here’s a look at rehearsal.

They kids were rehearsing the “The Circle Of Life” opening number.

All the jungle animals celebrate the birth of Simba.

And all the animals bow in respect.

The North Theatre is beautiful.

Here’s the view from across the street.

And here’s a view of the classic interior.

All of the performers have amazing spirits. During this break, a lot of them went to the lobby and held an impromptu jam session.

You’ve still got tonight and Sunday to see this amazing production. I’ll see you there.
