I’m not going to think about food. I’m not going to think about food. I’m not going to think about food.
We’ll see how long that lasts. I need a Big Board…
- Dell’Anno’s Pizza Kitchen downtown has some great specials after 5 PM. Their pizza is delicious and it’s $1.75 a slice for cheese or pepperoni. Of course there’s nothing else open after 6PM downtown, but that’s another problem.
- GAH! OK, I thought about food to begin with. That didn’t last long.
- There’s one design flaw at Downtown Danville’s JTI Fountain Plaza. No public restrooms. Hey, when you’re getting old and you hear that sound of running water… at least the river is less than 200 yards away. I didn’t just think that out loud, did I?
- And of course after thinking that, they had a porta-potty at last night’s Scavenger Hunt.
- “Fridays at the Crossing” is sorta back to normal this year. It’s back on Fridays but it’s moved to the big parking lot in front of Danville’s Community Market.
- Most people don’t really understand that the First Amendment’s right to “Freedom of Speech” only applies to the government not being able to restrict speech.
- What happened to the losing candidates in Danville’s May election? I did see Dawn Witter at a meet-and-greet for Lt. Gov. Northam last week, but Joyce Glaise? Thomas Motley? Henry Walker? George Wilson? Nothing at all from them.
- In a follow-up thought, none of the losing candidates were at City Hall for the election night returns.
- Somebody needs to go resuscitate HalifaxTalk.com because it’s been dead with no posts for over two weeks.
- The only reason that Danville hasn’t had a murder in over 5 months is because people are lousy shots.
- Fridays are lame for RandomThoughts.
More coming up on SouthsideCentral!
The Public Restroom you mentioned as a need is in the pipeline for down near the fountain. It’s a part of Phase Two. Just thought I’d pass that along to you.
Which brings me to a question about the JTI area, do they have power there?
I know it’s a random question, but I’m very curious if they thought about putting outlets there, just in case someone were to want to have a jam band or something there.
They do have multiple sets of 110V electrical outlets there, but they’re locked up.
You got that Bruce, next time pee in a pipeline…
I assume that Joyce Glaise has gone home to Petersburg after trying to convince voters here that she actually lives in Danville.
HalifaxTalk’s demise sounds like a mercy killing to me.
