Lynchburg City Manager in hot water for threatening remarks.

Hey, you’re not recording this, are you? Oopsie!

Lynchburg officials: Too early for any action on officer allegations

On the tape, Payne can be heard telling Romano that if he continues to speak out in such a manner it’s “gonna make a difference in your career, and you’ll never be able to prove it didn’t.” Payne later apologizes and said he does not plan to “do anything” to Romano.

Bwahahahahaha! Payne got busted on this one and he’s having to backtrack quickly. Gotta love how the newspaper story has already fast-forwarded to what Payne’s contract says about being fired.

Stupid technology! Makes people have to take responsibility for what they say and do! Sheesh!!!

Hey!!! You sure this guy doesn’t work for Halifax County Schools? Wait, he and Stapleton must have compared notes on how to threaten employees and ruin careers when someone does something they don’t like. Too bad I couldn’t get mine on tape….
