SouthsideCentral has confirmed through multiple sources that a Pittsylvania County sheriff’s deputy was fired on while attempting to serve a warrant at a house on Blair Lane tonight. The deputy was grazed by a bullet but is expected to only have minor injuries. A standoff is now in progress at the house, with deputies blocking all access to the road.
