Racin’ & Tastin’ 2016 – Part #5

When we left you in Part #4 of our Racin’ & Tastin’ PhotoCentral series, we were getting ready to eat our delicious meal of Checkered Pig BBQ. But the fun continued at Danville’s Community Market, so here comes Part #5!

Here’s the links to what we’ve published in this series:  Part #1Part #2Part #3Part #4

Let’s get back into the action after eating!

Debra Dockery isn’t quite finished with the tax season yet, but she’s having a good time here with her husband.

Yeah yeah. One last look at our food plate just because it is amazingly delicious.

The stage for tonight’s band is set up and ready to go. They’ll start playing at 7 PM.

We were one of the first to get our food. 30 minutes after I took this photo, these tables were almost filled to capacity.

The decorations committee did a terrific job. The tables were covered in red & black, with the racing tires & balloons in lots of places.

The only place where there wasn’t tables for people to enjoy their meal? The dance floor!

It takes a lot of volunteers to keep an event of this size working seamlessly.

Racin’ & Tastin’ had plenty of non-alcoholic beverages available for the attendees. John Hamlin is talking to Jeffrey & Darlene Wright in the left side of this photo.

We’ve got three different kinds of political folks in this photo. Aspiring officeholder Jim Lindley, retired officeholder Brenda Bowman and current officeholder Lee Vogler.

We’re at the end of Part #5 and we have two more articles planned to go in the series. It’s Racin & Tastin’ 2016, and it’s only here at SouthsideCentral!
