Time Machine: Plaques from 1998 & 1961

This trip back into the SouthsideCentral Time Machine isn’t going to teach us lessons. It’s just a fun trip to the past.

Hop in and let’s look at some old plaques that I noticed today at Danville Regional Airport.

Our first Time Machine stop takes us back to 1998, when one of the runways was expanded.

Recognize any names from that one?

We’re now going back to 1961 when the airport terminal building was completed.

How about any names from there?

We’re heading back to the present after this quick trip in the Time Machine. More coming up on SouthsideCentral!

Would love to see a Southside Central feature on “Where are they now?”….Some of those council names from 1990s…..unfortunately a couple have passed away, but there are a few that haven’t been heard from in years…….

Let’s see – did they shorten the runways in the last work to take the “hump” out of the runway? Are we going to have a new plaque for the shorter runways?
