It’s time to get back in the swing of things in the SouthsideCentral area, so let’s take a look at some of the things we’re working on… Here’s a story with a lot of questions that will never be answered. You may be saying “So what?”, but this has some current Southside Virginia implications and makes me really wonder about the Mega-Park. Shoot a guy in the back of the head and only get 120 days in jail. Yep, we’re serious. The Danville Public School system held their quarterly “community input forum” on Monday night and talked about “Safety In Our Community”. Let’s go over a few random thoughts about what happened. The votes are in and Danville’s George Washington High School football team had a lot of players selected on the All-Western Valley District team. This policy makes sense, but it’s not something that you expect to hear from a fire department. These three things I KNOW are true… (let’s see if anybody gets that reference) I’m sure that the Town of Halifax police department and the Halifax County Sheriff’s Department had better things to do than deal with this. (Editor’s note: I didn’t want to write anything about H1N1 flu, nor read about it. I’ve had enough of H1N1 for a long while. This story was totally Jojo’s writing. @#$@%) |
