I&#8217;m not going to think about food.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll see how long that lasts. I need a Big Board&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dell&#8217;Anno&#8217;s Pizza Kitchen downtown has some great specials after 5 PM. Their pizza is delicious and it&#8217;s $1.75 a slice for cheese or pepperoni. Of course there&#8217;s nothing else open after 6PM downtown, but that&#8217;s another problem.<\/li>\n<li>GAH! OK, I thought about food to begin with. That didn&#8217;t last long.<\/li>\n<li>There&#8217;s one design flaw at Downtown Danville&#8217;s JTI Fountain Plaza. No public restrooms. Hey, when you&#8217;re getting old and you hear that sound of running water&#8230; at least the river is less than 200 yards away. I didn&#8217;t just think that out loud, did I?<\/li>\n<li>And of course after thinking that, they had a porta-potty at last night&#8217;s Scavenger Hunt.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Fridays at the Crossing&#8221; is sorta back to normal this year. It&#8217;s back on Fridays but it&#8217;s moved to the big parking lot in front of Danville&#8217;s Community Market.<\/li>\n<li>Most people don&#8217;t really understand that the First Amendment&#8217;s right to &#8220;Freedom of Speech&#8221; only applies to the government not being able to restrict speech.<\/li>\n<li>What happened to the losing candidates in Danville&#8217;s May election? I did see Dawn Witter at a meet-and-greet for Lt. Gov. Northam last week, but Joyce Glaise? Thomas Motley? Henry Walker? George Wilson? Nothing at all from them.<\/li>\n<li>In a follow-up thought, none of the losing candidates were at City Hall for the election night returns.<\/li>\n<li>Somebody needs to go resuscitate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.halifaxtalk.com\" target=\"_blank\">HalifaxTalk.com <\/a>because it&#8217;s been dead with no posts for over two weeks.<\/li>\n<li>The only reason that Danville hasn&#8217;t had a murder in over 5 months is because people are lousy shots.<\/li>\n<li>Fridays are lame for RandomThoughts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>More coming up on SouthsideCentral!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m not going to think about food.
