(5\/26\/2014)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been thinking of a few things&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s do another RandomThoughts Big Board, shall we?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.roosterwalk.com\" target=\"_blank\">Rooster Walk<\/a>, the outdoor concert event on the Henry\/Patrick County line is simply amazing. It&#8217;s been a semi-secret event for the first six years and they&#8217;ll probably expand the event next year. Tickets are very affordable and the profits go for a scholarship fund.<\/li>\n<li>Half priced Domino&#8217;s pizzas are fair-priced. There&#8217;s no way that a large pizza with everything is worth almost $20 at regular price.<\/li>\n<li>Speaking of Domino&#8217;s, this RandomThought goes back a long time. During one of this winter&#8217;s snowstorm, I stopped there on the way home to get a pizza for carryout. People had no business getting on the roads because conditions were deteriorating quickly. Unbelievably, people were calling Domino&#8217;s and got mad when they said they weren&#8217;t delivering any more that day. I found that hard to believe that people would take that kind of attitude.<\/li>\n<li>DCC&#8217;s tuition for a normal college year is now over $4,000 (and that&#8217;s just tuition). That&#8217;s $136 per credit hour. I remember when it was around $40. Sigh.<\/li>\n<li>There&#8217;s no finer person when it comes to animals than Reidsville&#8217;s Miss Deb Sterling. She&#8217;s a sweetheart anyway, but her devotion to all animals makes her a true angel.<\/li>\n<li>Want one of the best hamburgers in the region? Go to Gina&#8217;s Family Restaurant on North Main St. in Danville.<\/li>\n<li>Downtown Danville, you still have a parking problem.<\/li>\n<li>Can Danville really have the business support for two big-box sporting goods stores? With Dunham&#8217;s Sports coming to <del>Piedmont<\/del> Danville Mall, Dick&#8217;s Sporting Goods is going to be impacted. But then, PetSmart and Petco have survived this long in direct competition.<\/li>\n<li>I always want to go to Danville&#8217;s Midtown Supermarket, but I never go there.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Wow. Lots of those RandomThoughts were food based. I guess it&#8217;s lunchtime.
