Having officially tried Dell’Anno’s downtown at least 3 times, I feel that I can make an honest review.<\/p>\n

Overall, the restaurant receives a “A” grade. For those that loved the old Cibo restaurant, the interior decor hasn’t changed much, just a few new tables, an extra AC line to keep the place comfortably cooled. The colors have changed from a lime green to a dark red\/brown combo. With the exposed wooden beams, high ceilings and exposed brick work, the red isn’t overpowering and doesn’t make you feel cramped.<\/p>\n
The serving line is very much streamlined from the horrendous staging that was the sandwich and salad line at 316 Cibo. Even the most die-hard fan of 316 Cibo could admit it was pretty bad. There aren’t any long waits. While the salads are pre-made, they still remain very fresh and I highly recommend the Greek Salad (I’m kinda partial to a great Greek Salad). From there you move up to the, for a lack of a better word, “buffet section,” where you have every type of pizza you could possibly want from your local pizzeria. While I’m always partial to thin-crust pepperoni, if you’re really hungry go for the stuffed crust or the deep-dish (Sicilian style) pizza. They also offer pizza rolls and Philly subs.<\/p>\n
For the locals who like a good happy hour on the cheap, they offer a XL slice of pizza and a domestic beer for $3 from 4-7 pm. While I’m not a drinker, even I know that’s a good deal. Also they offer other specials like $9.99 XL one topping. While they haven’t been open long yet downtown, I’m still giving Dell’Anno’s Pizza Kitchen an overall rating of 97 (A)<\/strong>.
