The last Democratic candidate for this district was back in 2004 and even that wasn&#8217;t pretty, with the Democratic candidate losing by a 33%-67% margin. Ain&#8217;t nothin&#8217; changed for this election, folks. Jasper Hendricks has been virtually invisible in this campaign.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Strengths &amp; Weaknesses<\/em><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Edmunds<\/strong>: He&#8217;s got the power of incumbency and the power of campaign cash. We&#8217;ve questioned a few of Edmunds&#8217; votes before but he&#8217;s represented the region rather well. If there&#8217;s any weakness, it&#8217;s that Edmunds has never had an opponent so far in the election. That&#8217;s no weakness here.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hendricks<\/strong>: What? Who? Where?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now to the Path To Victory for these candidates&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Path To Victory<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Edmunds<\/strong>: Edmunds will easily win this election if he keeps breathing. He&#8217;d probably still win if he stopped breathing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hendricks<\/strong>: Hendricks will probably win this election if the rest of the world except for him is destroyed by a giant meteor like from the Armageddon movie.\u00a0 You&#8217;ll notice that I had to say &#8220;probably&#8221; even in that circumstance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Final Analysis<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<p>Nobody really knows that James Edmunds has an opponent. The few that do will probably vote for Edmunds anyway.<\/p>\n<p>SouthsideCentral is writing this prediction in concrete. This race is clearly &#8220;<strong>Totally Safe &#8211; Edmunds<\/strong>&#8221; and will remain that way until the polls close.
