A Pittsylvania County woman was killed around 11 AM on Saturday morning after being hit by a car on Riverside Drive.<\/p>\n

Here’s the official release from the Danville Police Department…<\/p>\n

At approximately 11:06 am this morning Danville Police responded to the 3300 block of Riverside Dr. for a report of a woman who had been struck by a vehicle. The investigation revealed that a woman walked north across Riverside Dr., stopped, and turned around to go back in the direction from where she originally came. While walking back she walked into the path of a 1970 Ford LTD that was traveling east on Riverside Dr. before being struck. She was later pronounced dead at Danville Regional Medical Center. The deceased was identified as Charity Ann Roberts, age 27 of Pittsylvania County. No charges have been filed. The investigation is continuing.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
