Signs that warn you of danger are always a good thing, right? Well… maybe not always.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Back in 2010, 5-year-old Kolton Karnes drowned at the low-head dam<\/a> at Danville’s Dan Daniel Park. The dam is a safety hazard and will be removed soon but until that happens, the city has put up lots of warning signs to remind people about the dangers.<\/p>\n

Although I’m sure that the city’s artistic design team didn’t mean to make a sign which was a highly realistic representation of a small child being caught in the potentially fatal hydraulics of a low-head dam, they did just that…<\/p>\n
