New law allows death penalty in fire marshal slayings<\/a><\/p>\nWhat a useless addition to the law. But hey, it makes people feel good, eh? <\/p>\n
Anyway, this article completely misses an aspect of the new law which is a heck of lot more encompassing than fire marshals. HB 166 not only adds fire marshals to the list of death penalty, it adds EMT’s to the list.<\/p>\n
All that being said, I’ve got a novel idea. EMT’s & Fire Marshals have the same rank as any other human being. The way the law’s written now, it takes the murder of two of us “regular” people to equal out a death penalty offense.
