At this time, I’m only comfortable saying that Adam Tomer is a lock for re-election. Although he has his detractors, Tomer has connected with a cross-section of Danville residents on many issues. Gary Miller should be safe in this election, but there’s an outside chance that the three challengers could pull the support needed. As for the challengers, Alonzo Jones has the inside track. John Gilstrap will be a strong candidate as well. The big question mark is Thomas Motley. He’s been a community voice against the Danville Utility rates, so we’ll have to see what community support Motley gets.

OddsMakers of winning the election:

Adam Tomer – 100%

Gary Miller – 94%

Alonzo Jones – 98%

John Gilstrap – 75%

Thomas Motley – 40%

Until I’m able to gauge Motley’s support level, his OddsMakers numbers are highly preliminary.
