If he actually believes these “Tea Party Leaders”, he’s deluding himself into thinking that their support will do anything in a third-party campaign. All he’d do is split the vote and ensure that Tom Perriello would win re-election easily. If he tried to jump into the Republican race, he’d rightfully be seen as someone who went back on his word.<\/p>\n
Virgil Goode, you’re better than this. You have a legacy of good representation for the 5th District and you don’t want to tarnish that reputation by doing “anything to win”.
