Tuesday was<\/em> a very quiet and non-eventful City Council meeting… until Adam Tomer’s turn to speak in the around-the-horn comment section at the end. He talked about LifePoint, Inc. (the owners of Danville Regional Medical Center) and the way that they have failed to live up to their word for open-door communication. <\/p>\n

Tomer said that since no one from LifePoint has returned to a City Council meeting and that the company has ignored two letters from City Council, he has “grave concerns” about the communication line between LifePoint and the citizens. Tomer went on to say that health care was a major issue when it came to recruiting new business prospects and that the lack of communication with LifePoint was not helping in that aspect.<\/p>\n

After the meeting, I asked Tomer about these letters from City Council. He was very helpful and was able to supply these letters that we’re now posting in their entirety. <\/p>\n
