{"id":5195,"date":"2009-09-02T22:38:49","date_gmt":"2009-09-03T02:38:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.southsidecentral.com\/wordpress\/?p=5195"},"modified":"2009-09-02T22:38:49","modified_gmt":"2009-09-03T02:38:49","slug":"edens-riverfest-coming-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.southsidecentral.com\/wordpress\/2009\/09\/02\/edens-riverfest-coming-soon\/","title":{"rendered":"Eden&#8217;s RiverFest coming soon!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Friday &amp; Saturday, September 18th &amp; 19th are the dates for a great time over in Eden, NC.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Eden&#8217;s art, history &amp; river heritage will be spotlighted in the Olde Leaksville Shopping District (the Washington St. area) during the RiverFest. Arts and crafts will be on display and for sale, two stages of entertainment will be going all the time and there will be a special area for the kids.<\/p>\n<p>Some things to watch for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carolinaraptorcenter.org\" target=\"_blank\">Carolina Raptor Center<\/a> will be having an exhibit and will feature a wild bird release. We&#8217;re trying to get more information about the timeframe for this.<\/li>\n<li>Friday night from 5:00 to 5:45 PM, Veronica &amp; Company will be featured on Stage 1. Veronica Jones is one of the best singers I&#8217;ve ever heard and she has a smile that will light up the sky. Veronica sings every Friday night at Cafe 99 in Reidsville and she&#8217;s enough to make the drive worthwhile.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.3-r-o.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Three Rivers Outfitters<\/a> will have a booth at RiverFest in the River Village section and will be having three canoeing &amp; kayaking excursions during Saturday&#8217;s activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We&#8217;ll be featuring more about RiverFest as the event nears.
