Shortly after 4 p.m. this evening, an inmate attempted to take his own life by hanging. He was not successful.<\/p>\n
Detention personnel became aware of an emergency with an inmate and immediately removed him from further danger. He was given immediate assistance and transported by emergency medical services to a treatment facility. Sheriff\u2019s detectives are investigating the incident. The inmate\u2019s name is not being released. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n
