Pittsylvania County man wounded in shootout, charged with murder<\/a><\/p>\nIt turns out that this was a case of self-defense. Unfortunately for the defendant, he went a bit too far in defending himself because he shot the guy 9 times. The 1st degree murder charge was plea-bargained down to voluntary manslaughter.
