SUBJECT: The Danville Police Department has not issued an Amber Alert.<\/p>\n
During the late afternoon and evening hours of 07-14-09, the Danville Police Department received numerous calls concerning an Amber Alert message that many people received on their cell phones. The text of the message is \u201cAmber alert 3 year old girl taken by a man in Danville driving a new silver truck keep it going so they can find her\u201d A tag number was also in the text message. <\/p>\n
The Danville Police Department has not issued or requested that an Amber Alert be issued. The Danville Police Department has not had a complaint concerning a missing 3 year old girl.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
