These are some photos from Tuesday’s Martinsville PD \/ Henry County Sheriff’s Office Leg of the 2009 Special Olympic Torch Run. They started at 7AM at the Martinsville Police Department and ran to the Danville City Limits and handed the torch off the Danville Police Department.<\/p>\n

They were met in Brosville by the Brosville Volunteer Fire Department who had fire trucks and ambulances with lights and sirens blaring to welcome them. At the Brosville VDOT, they had a stop with Mary Betterton and friends for water, Gatorade and fellowship. Mary made a financial donation to Special Olympics and gave the check to Henry County Sheriff Lane Perry to present to the Special Olympics. <\/p>\n
