Big Board&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.martinsvillebulletin.com\/news\/nash-files-civil-suit-after-shooting\/article_dfa3e558-2860-11e6-ae2f-c7d7bab495b3.html\" target=\"_blank\">The former Henry County deputy who shot his neighbor (then passed out in the guy&#8217;s recliner) has filed a civil suit against a paramedic for loading him up with fluids before the incident.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emporiaindependentmessenger.com\/news\/article_fe94cb36-299f-11e6-a275-6b0dc3e1e6ad.html\" target=\"_blank\">In a very rare courtroom event, a preliminary hearing on a Greensville County man&#8217;s first-degree murder charge gets the charge reduced to voluntary manslaughter and the defendant released on bond.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emporiaindependentmessenger.com\/news\/article_728a141c-1e8b-11e6-b95f-937cfa1fdd6f.html\" target=\"_blank\">Back in 2014, a Greensville County deputy died in a car crash because he couldn&#8217;t get cell phone service to call for help. Verizon&#8217;s response to build more cell towers to increase coverage? &#8220;No.&#8221;<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.martinsvillebulletin.com\/news\/local_news\/kandy-burnett-s-hearing-date-postponed\/article_d93624c7-c636-581f-a0b0-c085ddd3e619.html\" target=\"_blank\">The Patrick County school board member who picked up a DWI charge in Mt. Airy, NC has her case continued until November (?!) because her blood sample hasn&#8217;t been analyzed yet.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.greensboro.com\/news\/crime\/winston-salem-man-faces-charges-after-being-shot-in-a\/article_238b6005-0a9e-5dc5-ad2d-b251b1c0188f.html\" target=\"_blank\">A Winston-Salem man is shot in a parking lot, then gets arrested for drug, weapon and traffic violations trying to get away. Heh.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thefranklinnewspost.com\/news\/union-hall-man-charged-with-soliciting-a-murder\/article_f4dbfa32-28f1-11e6-b6c9-ffe20e3141c7.html\" target=\"_blank\">A Franklin County man is charged with attempting to solicit a murder two weeks before he beat up his intended target.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sovanow.com\/index.php?\/news\/article\/south_boston_offers_positive_reaction_to_ymca_request\/\" target=\"_blank\">South Boston&#8217;s YMCA is being sued by their former director for back pay, yet the town is considering giving the Y $25,000 for capital improvements.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.greensboro.com\/news\/crime\/goldsboro-woman-charged-after-mom-s-body-found-in-freezer\/article_40d236a1-51d5-57f6-a097-7fdcbb13c85e.html\" target=\"_blank\">A Goldsboro woman sold her freezer at a yard sale.
