SouthsideCentral was LIVE! at Monday’s Danville Planning Commission’s 3 PM meeting. It was over in less than nine minutes, but we’ve got the best and most comprehensive… Feh, who am I kidding? We’ve got photos, though!<\/p>\n

The only thing that is on today’s agenda is Von Wellington’s application for the Special Use Permit needed for his River District Event Center in the old Dixie Bags location. Yep, that’s all.<\/p>\n

Everybody is here today. It’s a party! Not really.<\/p><\/div>\n

Tracie, Ken, Anna and Clarke are here. Clarke never said a word during the entire meeting.<\/p><\/div>\n

And Von Wellington is here, so Bruce Wilson won’t have to get all whiny about the petitioner not showing up for the hearing.<\/p><\/div>\n

Anne Evans asks if Von Wellington has gotten permits for the remodeling needed to get his Certificate of Occupancy and Von tells her that he was waiting to get the Special Use Permit first.<\/p><\/div>\n

It’s an easy 7-0 vote and all we have left is the approval of the minutes. That takes eight seconds and we’re done! Ken Gillie says that there are Lots-O-Cases so we will definitely have a Planning Commission meeting in March! Huzzah!<\/p>\n

In this Bonus Photo, you can see absolutely nothing that you haven’t seen before. We’ve got Jimmy Bolton, Bruce Wilson, Tommy Dodson and Harold Garrison in their seats. We’ve got R&B reporter Denice Thibodeau stuck with covering this meeting, and Von Wellington at the podium. The Planning Commission agenda is on the big screen TVs. We also wonder what is hanging on the back of Amanda Paez’s door. Heh.<\/p><\/div>\n
