Coy Harville and Fred Shanks are not here, so Brenda Bowman and Lee Vogler are voting members today. Our first item is for $12,500 to go to Dewberry for a required survey for endangered species at the MegaPark. The permitting process has taken so long that the original survey has almost expired.<\/p>\n

Next, RIFA officially approves a letter to the Tobacco Commission requesting another one year extension for the MegaPark project grants. Lorillard asks for an administrative transfer of land because they are about to be merged into a new company. Authority Treasurer Michael Adkins goes over the financial reports and they’re approved. All of these are 4-0 votes.<\/p>\n

Closed session starts at 12:35 PM. It’s about the Cane Creek Industrial Park, but Hampton Wilkins and Danville Regional Medical Center COO Spencer Thomas go in the meeting room too.<\/p>\n

We’re at the 40 minute mark, and they’re still in the closed session.<\/p>\n
