I think I’ve found the City of Danville’s newest security camera… and they didn’t make it easy to find, either.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I’m walking up Main St. in the downtown Danville area, admiring a lot of the original architecture when all of a sudden I saw something I saw something that wasn’t quite original architecture. The Herman Building is the headquarters of Danville’s Social Services department and across the street from the newest public parking lot (the former Downtowner hotel site).<\/p>\n

Take a look at the building.<\/p>\n

Let’s zoom in (yeah, it gets blurred a little)…<\/p>\n

Ha! There it is. Now of course there’s no expectation of privacy on Main St. but it makes me wonder who’s watching the parking lot via this camera and what they’re looking for. I look forward to getting some answers.<\/p>\n

I also have to wonder did this “building addition” get River District Design Commission approval? Heh.<\/p>\n
