We’ve got no citizens here today and Coy Harville is out so Jerry Hagerman will vote in the alternate slot. We start off with bylaw changes that say any member will stay a member until replaced by either Danville City Council or the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors. Members are out if they lose an election, of course, because you have to be elected on those bodies to serve on RIFA. We now move to adding some properties that RIFA bought into the Cane Creek Centre industrial park.<\/p>\n
Dewberry engineer Shawn Harden gives an update on the Berry Hill Mega-Park permitting process. He says that they’re meeting with the Army Corps of Engineers later this month and he feels things are looking promising towards getting the permits needed to continue the site’s development. Next, RIFA Treasurer Michael Adkins goes over the financial statements.<\/p>\n
They now move into a closed session for economic development discussion that lasts about 40 minutes and we’re done. There wasn’t much exciting news out of today’s meeting, but we’re still glad to bring you the only photo coverage that you’ll find!<\/p>\n
