As promised from our Business After Hours PhotoCentral<\/a>, we’re going to take you on a tour of the new Danville Family YMCA<\/a>. The new facility opened in September and this was my first time visiting. Let’s take a look around.<\/p>\n

The YMCA is at 215 Riverside Drive and along Danville’s Riverwalk Trail.<\/p>\n

The Y has a regulation sized basketball court. They have open gym hours and their own youth basketball league.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"

This is their child watch center. Members have a safe, supervised place for the small children while they work out.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"

This is an amazing pool. They use recapture methods to take the humidity out of the air to help heat the water. 84 degrees in the water and out. They have open lap swimming, water aerobics and physical therapy here.<\/p><\/div>\n

Donations from the community and foundations helped to build the new facility.<\/p><\/div>\n

40 cardio machines and lots of other workout stations here. The Y also offers personal consultation with certified physical trainers.<\/p><\/div>\n

The inside track above the basketball court is for running and walking. 20 laps around is one mile. It’s an easy and convenient way to get your exercise in.<\/p><\/div>\n
