Rockingham County Sheriff\u2019s Investigator Kaleb Vaden has charged HUNTER MARIE HILL, 66, of 111 Iron Works Rd. Reidsville, N.C. for felonious Embezzlement of Money > $100,000 from the Monroeton Volunteer Fire Department located at 9252 U.S. 158, Reidsville, NC 27320.<\/p>\n
HILL was a volunteer at the Fire Department and served as their treasurer. The investigation revealed that HILL embezzled over $140,000 during the time she served as Treasurer. She was released from custody under a $100,000 unsecured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 8th.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
I can understand why her $100,000 bond was unsecured. She’s got enough cash on hand to cover it if she doesn’t show up for court.<\/p>\n
