Hey, why not? I bet you’ve never been to a Danville Airport Commission meeting, have you? Well, you’ll be there today LIVE! here on SouthsideCentral! The meeting begins at 4PM today. Honestly, I don’t know what to expect but whatever happens, we’ll cover it LIVE! Be sure to refresh the page often for the latest photos, happenings and commentary.

We’re here. I just spoke with Charles Ellis. He’s been flying out of this airport for 50 years.<\/p>\n

Transportation Director Marc Adelman just came in and dropped off some papers.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

They were going to discuss the runways.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"

No quorum. No meeting.<\/p><\/div>\n

We don’t have a quorum. This meeting is over. Seriously.<\/p>\n

They were doing to discuss things like the operational guidelines for the airport. Libby Rembold from General Aviation (the fixed-base operator at the airport) said that whatever rules were enacted, they hadn’t been enforced consistently in the past. We’ll have to take that up when we try again next month.<\/p>\n

So who’s on the Airport Commission?<\/p>\n

    That’s 3 out of 8, folks and we needed 5 to get a quorum. Fail. they were also going to discuss important things, like the proposed budget for the airport. Again, we’ll try it in December. That’s sad.<\/p>\n
