Danville’s murder problem apparently has moved to Martinsville.<\/p>\n

I’ve having trouble understanding this. So there’s a big party which leads to the inevitable “altercation”, and then two people not involved in the “altercation” get shot and killed? Or something like that?<\/p>\n

It’s pretty clear that the guy who did the original shooting was about to get a fatal case of lead poisoning himself because he took off to the Fredericksburg area. Maybe Fredericksburg should use that as a slogan to attract tourism? Once the shooter learned that Martinsville police had opened up a jail cell for him away from enemy bullets, he gladly jumped right in there (and to stay for a very long time, until he’s probably killed in prison).<\/p>\n

Two drug-related murders a few months ago in Henry County, and now this in Martinsville. For the first time in a while, I can say that I’m glad that Danville is now trailing Martinsville in a statistical category.<\/p>\n
