I’ve heard from reliable sources that a mysterious “bone-like” object was found in a trash can in the Danville Walmart’s parking lot. Multiple police cars and the Crime Scene Unit were spotted in the parking lot around 7 PM. Our source says that “being sent to Roanoke for analysis” was overheard, and that would logically lead me to think that whatever was found was being sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office located in Roanoke.

The only thing I can think to say at this time is “Say, that’s odd.”

We’ll update this story as we get more information.

UPDATE #1: All of the statements that we have above were correct. The State Medical Examiner’s office has declared that the bone found was “non-human”, so the investigation has concluded.

I’ve connected the dots & I believe there’s an undercurrent flowing to have a new Danville mayor after the May 4th election.

I believe there’s an organized effort underway for Larry Campbell to become mayor on the new term of Danville City Council. I’m basing this theory on Adam Tomer, Gary Miller, Alonzo Jones and John Gilstrap winning the election.

• It takes five votes to win the mayorship.
• Current mayor Sherman Saunders has the support of Buddy Rawley, Fred Shanks, David Luther and Saunders himself (of course).
• Larry Campbell has aspirations of becoming mayor and would get votes from Alonzo Jones, John Gilstrap and Campbell himself.
• At the April 5th City Council meeting, Danville Regional Medical Center CEO Eric Deaton welcomed Larry Campbell to the hospital’s board of directors. Sherman Saunders was quite surprised by this news and asked “When did that happen?” Other council members shared the same surprise. If the mayor is unaware of a councilmember being appointed to the hospital’s board, there has to be some behind-the-scenes action going on. That’s when I started thinking how Larry Campbell got that position, and my thoughts immediately centered on that Dr. Gary Miller (councilman and physician well-connected with the hospital’s management staff) assisted in the process. With those thoughts and after talking with various sources, I believe Gary Miller would be a fourth mayoral vote for Larry Campbell.
• That leaves us with Adam Tomer. Based on Tomer’s Democratic party leanings, it wouldn’t be a stretch to have Tomer vote with Gilstrap, Jones & Miller. That would give Campbell the fifth vote he needs to become mayor. The question is, what’s in it for Tomer to vote against Sherman Saunders. I’m theorizing that if Tomer voted for Larry Campbell as mayor, he’d be elected as vice-mayor.

This is the first time in a very long time that there is an active challenge to change mayors in Danville. Even though it’s just my thought process, I’m 100% confident that this undercurrent is flowing. Nobody on the Campbell-for-mayor side has said anything yet so I’m hoping that this will trigger some kind of acknowledgement or denial by somebody.

Let me make this clear: This is only my thought process and the theories that I’ve presented are only supported by the points I have made in this article. If I’m wrong on this, I’ll gladly admit it… but I know I’m right on what I’ve said.

As a result, cameras have been/are being installed to monitor this situation. If this is true, and several students backed up the allegations, why has there been no mention of it to parents? It could be due to the fact that local authorities still deny any organized gang activity in the area. Officially the platform is “if we acknowledge it, it gives them credibility.”

Yes, and denial leads to festering sores that will eventually erupt.

So what does this mean? From what we can tell, the contract’s term will be imposed on all seven plants including Danville’s. Will this mean continued hard feelings between the union workers and management or will everybody finally get along?

By the way, one of our sources say that we’ll be surprised at the relatively low voter turnout percentage from the Danville ratification vote. Not sure on that, and not even sure if they’ll release the actual vote. We’re sticking with the voting results that we reported earlier, but now we’re wondering how representative that vote margin is compared to the over 1600 potential voters.

We’ve got two sources that are zeroing in on this, so it’s time to put up a RumorCentral on this.

Our sources say that an announcement is coming soon about the White Mill building. Supposedly it’s being bought and turned into some type of governmental office complex. At this time, we don’t know much more but since two unrelated sources have came up with the same story, it’s good enough for a RumorCentral.

More to come as things develop.

UPDATE #1: Our sources were correct on the sale of the building. There will be a press conference Friday at 3 PM at City Council chambers in City Hall for “an exciting economic development”. We haven’t been able to confirm what’s going to be announced but when we hear something, you’ll see it here!

I know what I think about that, but I’m saving that up for an extremely hot OpinionCentral if it becomes true. At this time, I’ve got no reason to disbelieve Roark. His sources usually come through.

UPDATE #1: On today’s “Daily Buzz” show, Charles Roark is saying that his sources reported that fur was flying inside the Danville Police Department over what he has reported so far.

We’re hearing that a woman’s body was found in the ditch around the Cody area late Saturday night. If we find out any more about this, we’ll have it here.
