If Thomas Motley wants to have a real chance at getting elected to Danville City Council, his choosing not to look back or comment on his past isn’t going to cut it.

We had made it 22 days without an article on the 5th District race. That streak comes to an end after a stupid-ass comment by Verga, who said Robert Hurt raised taxes “once again”.

The city of Danville has lost a great man and public servant. Lyle Lacy helped SouthsideCentral start up our governmental coverage and we’ll always owe him that debt of gratitude.

The deadline’s passed and the field is set. Let’s see what’s Danville’s looking at for the May 5th elections.

We’ve had a few surprises but the race picture is getting clearer. Somewhat.

There’s a new pizza restaurant in Danville. Primo Pizza is located at 1131 South Boston Rd. (former location of the Quizno’s Subs franchise that lasted less than 6 months). I’ve had two meals there so far but I’m not recommending the restaurant due to one horrible customer service moment.
