The Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors defeated the proposed 20-mile uranium mining ban on Tuesday night. Hooray!

Since Karen Maute’s proposed 25-mile uranium mining ban was defeated, you’d hope that the topic was dead and buried, eh? Wrong. Tuesday night, Marshall Ecker will try and get the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors to pass a 20-mile ban. Second verse, same as the first.

It’s Hyperbole! Like This! That Makes! It Easy To Mock!

This is one of the best examples in how money that’s raised in the community can go back to the community for great causes.

Callands/Gretna District Supervisor Fred Ingram’s got a plan and we’re hoping that it works.

Our friends at the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce have reminded us of a big event coming this weekend to Southside VA. The Secretary of Energy & Secretary of Agriculture will be coming to a farm on Blairs on Saturday, July 18th.

There’s a new blog in the area that’s watching the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors and it’s worth checking out.
