Thumbs! (8/12/16)

What goes UP! doesn’t necessarily have to go DOWN! or What goes DOWN! doesn’t necessarily have to go UP!

That’s the physics behind a “Thumbs!” article. Let’s see what we have today.

If we’ve got Thumbs! then they’re on a Big Board, so let’s roll one out…

  • Thumbs UP! to Prakash & Jay Suthar, the people behind Kare Pharmacy. They’ve opened their new location on Park Avenue near Sam’s Club and the new Centra medical facility that’s getting close to opening. The Suthars have cornered the market on compounding medicines and that’s a skill that’s very much in need for the region. They’ve gone all-out with their new building, with the latest in technology and sterility to make pretty much any form of medicines that you could ever need. And another Thumbs UP! for the Suthars for getting the amazing Barbara Seamster away from the radio business and making her marketing coordinator for the company. Barbara is the perfect spokesperson for the business. By the way, Kare Pharmacy is holding their official grand opening this coming Saturday from 9AM to 7PM. If you get a chance, stop by and tour the new building. There will be lots of promotions throughout the day and you just might change your pharmacy… once you see what a locally-owned company can do for you.
  • Thumbs UP! to the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership and the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce for putting together a debate between Tom Garrett & Jane Dittmar (candidates for the 5th District congressional seat). It’s scheduled for less than two weeks before the election, and this race is going to be tight. I look forward to watching this one, folks.

What? Only two Thumbs? Yeah, but at least it’s a new article. We’ve got more coming up here on SouthsideCentral!
