Danville Planning Commission (3/9/15)

Don’t expect much “real” happenings here, folks. We had one zoning request before the Planning Commission and it was routine. But hey, we’ve got photos!

OK, let’s get the real business out of the way. William Gentry owns the former Habitat Re-Store location at 425 Hughes St. Since it was vacant for a while, it lost its commercial zoning status. It will get it back after a 7-0 Planning commission vote, and Danville City Council will make it official during their April meetings. The. End. That’s it, we’re done!

If you’ve never been to a Planning Commission meeting, let’s take a look at some photos.

Get ready to match the stars! From left to right… Ann Evans, Jimmy Bolton, Robert “Q” Jones, Bruce Wilson, Tommy Dodson and Harold Garrison! It does look like a Match Game panel, doesn’t it?

And here’s the host of the Planning Commission meeting, Chairman Michael Scearce!

Good seats are still available for this meeting. Hey, Dolores Reynolds!

We’ll wrap this up with our Planning Commission Fashion Awards. “Q” Jones & Harold Garrison are our winners for the day. But what if we took Harold’s tie and had “Q” wear it? Photoshop time!

Thanks to Photoshop, THAT’S Fashion!

We hope you’ve enjoyed this lighthearted look inside today’s Planning Commission meeting. We’ve got more coming up on SouthsideCentral!
