What time is it? Thumbs! time.
I’ve got some fancy new Thumbs! for you. Shall we bring on that Big Board?
- Thumbs UP! to the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research. They’re bringing back the “Decorating the Trees for a Cause” charity fundraiser again this year. You’ll be able to look at over 55 beautifully decorated Christmas trees starting on December 1st from 8AM to 5PM. The display will be available on Mondays thru Fridays until December 19th. - Thumbs DOWN! to Dell’Anno’s Pizza Kitchen recent remodeling. I’ll take some flack for this one, but I just don’t like their conversion from quick-service restaurant into a full-service restaurant. I know that they’ve expanded their menu, but I feel that it worked better with ordering your food at the counter and picking it up. Don’t get me wrong, the food is top-quality… I just liked a quicker eat-and-go type of place.
- Thumbs UP! to James Edmunds and his new “Blue Ribbon Market” located in Halifax. I’ve heard all positive reviews so far and plan to go there soon. He’s got fresh local meats and eggs along with lots of other all-natural foods.

I like the “new” Dell’Anno’s Pizza Kitchen. First time I tried it, when you had to go to window to order and pick-up, I did not like their pizza. I returned recently and found that I like it now! I work out during lunch at the ymca during my lunch break sometimes, as I am preparing to leave ymca I call Dell’Anno’s and order and pick it up on way back to office and I eat and work.
I agree, Sheila….wait a minute, what did I just say?!! 🙂 I like the changes too. It definitely has more dinner options now.
