Thumbs! (Veterans Day Parade Special Edition)

Parades like today’s make me proud to live in Danville. Here come da Thumbs!

Big Board!

  • Thumbs UP! to everybody who came to this year’s Danville Veterans Day Parade. This was the largest crowd that I’ve seen, and their waving and cheering put a smile on all the honorees’ faces. We could always use a bigger crowd, but I’m not complaining one bit here. You folks that came out to today’s parade… you did it right. Thank You!
  • Thumbs UP! to the Danville Police Department. They did a fast and amazing job blocking off the streets and keeping everybody safe. It was a precision effort that had to be well planned.
  • Thumbs UP! to everybody who participated in the parade. From the 9-month old being pushed in the stroller with wide open eyes looking at everything, to the 80+-year-old WW2 veterans riding down the streets (and all in between), they all made for a great sized parade (45 minutes).
  • Thumbs UP! to ALL of Danville City Council for coming along for the ride as well. Sherman Saunders was leading the pack on his motorcycle, with the other council members following.

Four Thumbs UP! for the Danville Veterans Day Parade. You think that’s not enough Thumbs UP! for this event? Hey, you’re right!

Let’s get some more Thumbs Up! from Danville City Council…

Now that’s a LOT of Thumbs!
