Maybe it was the flu, maybe it wasn’t. I dunno. I’m baaaaaaaaaaack!
I’m thinking that I need a Big Board…
- I was feeling good all day and night last Wednesday. I got home to do some editing and then BAM I get a a set of chills where I am freezing, chattering my teeth and then aching all over. The house is at 72 degrees and I put on a sweatsuit. No relief, so I go to bed with 4 blankets and a giant orange cat on me. Oh well, I’m feeling better and I’m back.
- The River District Festival pulled out of its tailspin and looked a lot better. The weather sucked, but that’s the chances you take in mid-October.
- The same weekend can’t give Reidsville’s Fall Festival a break, either.
- I still giggle when I see Bumpass Motors in Roxboro.
- Somebody on foot robbed the FasMart gas house on US29 by using a gun. Technically, yes, it’s a convenience store. I’m chuckling that the other news media are using that term too.
- Speaking on Roxboro, this webcam has been up for over 12 years and it’s still going. It’s one of my favorite ones to check out.

But I like the press release from the sheriff’s office better calling it the Fast Mart! I guess the crooks were fast. Took the money and ran.
The clerk at the store was fired for giving the robbers the money. It appears she had a bank bag ready for deposit and she gave them that also so the company fired her!
Well. That’s quite interesting.
river district festival is a repeat of festival in park only at dan river and in fall. not exactly “on the river” the dan river takes a back seat—needs more “things” related to dan river in my opinion. could call it something else minus “dan river” I don’t see need in it if the DAN RIVER isn’t taking center stage.
i believe if you ask any bank that they tell all of their tellers to give them the money it can be replaced,,,,,, Who owns that fast mart?????
