RandomThoughts! (8/9/2014)

I’m thinking while on muscle relaxers for back pain so this could be fun. Or regrettable.

How about a Big Belated Birthday Bash Blowout Board?

  • Danger! Danger! There was a “suspicious package in the mail” at South Boston’s ABB on Tuesday. Everybody out! Lock the place down! Call the Bomb Squad! Block the entrance with lawmen! Make the official statements. Um.. but let the delivery trucks in, ok? Anyway… the “suspicious package” turns out to be a NothingBurger. All we get is a “Nothing to see here. Move Along.” from the lawmen. Hey, I’m in the news business. Hey, you’re the curious public. We want to know more!
  • Danger! Danger! Again! Amber Alert! We had a Patrick County man who “may be armed with AK-47 and in possession of ballistics vest. Has made suicidal threats and homicidal threats towards law enforcement, according to police.”. Ok, dangerous enough as of then. I’ll give you that. However, what we weren’t told was during this situation, the father was on the phone with Patrick County Sheriff Dan Smith. The sheriff talked to the guy and said “he felt much better about the situation once we were able to talk about a resolution”. The danger level drops significantly but there’s no change in that “THIS GUY IS CRAZY!” narrative. Fooey.
  • Those were very long thoughts.
  • Jake’s on Main is excellent. That word says it all.
  • Locking your keys in your car and having to climb over seats to get them after eating at Jake’s on Main is not excellent.
  • It was nice to see Errol “Kip” Wallace at Jake’s on Main. He’s get the skills and personality needed to sell you a used car, that’s for sure.
  • If I sold slices of cheese or cheese-like substance for 30 cents like the fast food places do, I’d be rich quickly.
  • McDonald’s tops that. If you want to add mayonnaise  to a hamburger, that’s gonna cost you 30 cents for one little glob.
  • When you’re not used to pain medicine, it sure does hit you hard. I remember a phone call I got this morning. I had to look it up to remember who it was and I have no idea what we talked about.
  • You also have weird dreams. Last night I dreamed I was buying gas at a Sunoco station where the pumps had the 5-way switch on what octane level you wanted.

I’m going back to bed. Enjoy these RandomThoughts!
