SouthsideSeven: Debbie Sparks

It’s time for another SouthsideSeven. I’ve got six questions for our guest and the seventh one… well that’s special.

Debbie Sparks, come on down and be our guest for this SouthsideSeven.

Zero down, SouthsideSeven to go…

SouthsideOne: Tell me who you are and all about you.

My name is Debbie Sparks. I live in Gretna and work in Chatham. I attend Hollywood Baptist Church in Callands. I have a very interesting position with PSM Publications that I am very passionate about.

SouthsideTwo: Tell me about PSM Publications.  What do they do?

PSM Publications is an Internet-based social media marketing organization. Currently we have two publications: Tell Me – Richmond and we have started Tell Me – Southside. Plans are to eventually be in every major market in the state. The vision is to help small businesses and local organizations promote their products, services, events, fundraisers, etc to the local community they are a part of. We believe that local small business brings a unique “flavor” to the community and we want to partner with them to help them get their message out through email, Facebook, Twitter, etc. This is where most people get their information now. Just look around and see all the people on their smartphones and tablets. Most small businesses have a couple of things in common – they are too busy to promote themselves and they usually don’t have much of a marketing budget – we offer several extremely affordable solutions for them! We urge people to sign up for free subscriptions at www.psmpublications.com

SouthsideThree: Give me “Gretna’s Hidden Treasure” that you like but not many people know about

Jack’s Quick Snack – the best hot dogs in the state!

SouthsideFour: Tell me something you did to make somebody else’s day.

I visit a shut-in friend each morning. It brightens her day to have me come and have coffee with her.

SouthsideFive: What’s your favorite and your least favorite color?

Favorite color – pink – Least favorite – brown

SouthsideSix: There’s a new menu item called the “Debbie Sparks Burger” at a  restaurant. Since it’s named after you and has your favorite toppings on it,  what’s on this burger?

Ketchup – I know – boring.

And now, the famous SouthsideSeven question… ask yourself a question and then answer it!

SouthsideSeven: Do I plan to change my hair color anymore?

Nope – gonna stay my original blonde from here on out! Those of you with an aversion to purple will be glad to know.

One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, SouthsideSeven! We’re done!

Thanks, Debbie!

Thanks for featuring Debbie. I met her back when she was the backbone of the Boys and Girls Club in Danville. Looks like she is very happy and doing great! Maybe she has found a new calling!
