Unbelievable. This guy now makes more than 40% more than the city manager does. The Greensboro Coliseum loses money by itself every year and breaks even once the secondary economic impacts are worked in.
To make it even worse, the Greensboro City Council has no say-so in the pay raise because the Coliseum manager reports directly to the city manager. Greensboro. Greensboro’s city management and council has been dysfunctional for a long time and a story like this doesn’t help that reputation at all. Add that to the fact that this contract was signed back in July and it’s just coming to light now? Wow.
