Back in the days, SouthsideCentral was known to be a place where you could go and see what was happening in the region. We had news. We had viewpoints. We had content. Once I took a job at a TV station, it became difficult to devote the time needed to keeping SC up and running with fresh stuff. Today, I looked at what I wrote when I started SC…

We’re more than just HalifaxCentral now… much more.

We believe that Southside VA needs another voice that’s fresh and new.
We believe that Southside VA needs a website where people can come to and see what’s happening…a place with news infused with opinions and humor.
We believe that Southside VA needs a website that features local, regional, state, national and international items.
We believe that Southside VA needs a website that has various opinions on lots of topics and isn’t afraid to publish them.
We believe that Southside VA needs a website with fun stuff to go right along with all of the serious stuff.
We believe that Southside VA needs a website where anything could appear at any time (that makes it fun!).
We believe that Southside VA needs a website with the capabilities to deliver information LIVE!

We believe that Southside VA needs SouthsideCentral.com and the SouthsideCentral blog.

Welcome, Southside VA. We hope you like what you see and read here. We hope you participate with comments and story ideas.
Most importantly, we hope you visit often.

We’ll be adding content and gadgets on a regular basis which will make the SCBlog even more informative for you… stay tuned for the new stuff!
