Christopher Polk (26) died today at Duke University Hospital from stab injuries received from an altercation that happened Saturday night in the Westside Village apartment complex. According to Captain B.K. Lovelace, additional charges are pending against Quincy Polk (25) once the investigation is completed. South Boston Police Department Sgt. R.E. Redd said that Christopher Polk’s body has been sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Chapel Hill for an autopsy.
What a sad story all around. A mother has lost one child to a stabbing and one child is in jail for killing his brother. Too often people get angry with someone and lash out; never really meaning to hurt them. Two young lives destroyed in the blink of an eye, a family torn apart.
