The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is currently at the “Short Stop” convenience store in Scottsburg working a double shooting incident. At last report, a man and woman have been shot outside of the store.
More to come as soon as we find anything out.
Update #1: One patient is being flown out by helicopter.
Update #2: A female victim has been killed in this shooting incident.
Update #3: Two people are dead in this incident. Our sources have confirmed that this was a murder/suicide involving a man and a woman.
Update #4: Law enforcement authorities are not releasing the names of the persons involved. SouthsideCentral has confirmed the identities of the man & woman but will not release the names until law enforcement does.
Update #5: David Riley (29) shot Wendy Riley (23) in the parking lot of the Short Stop convenience store.
