It’s time to get back in the swing of things in the SouthsideCentral area, so let’s take a look at some of the things we’re working on…

• What’s going on with the river gauge at South Boston? We’ve made phone calls and talked with the people who make decisions. We’re waiting on a callback from the Halifax County Office of Emergency Services to compare notes.
• So how did the Bright Leaf Brew Fest turn out? We were knocked out of attending because of flu, but we’ll find out from Danville’s Tourism Department.
• Is it finally impending Happy Trails for Danville’s Harris-Teeter grocery store?
• What was Habitat for Humanity doing outside Halifax County’s Holiday Living Show? Wasn’t this a no-solicitation event?
• How about a sneak preview of South Boston’s & Danville’s Christmas Parade?
• Whatever happened to The Destiny Center?
• This Just In – The Modeling Center of Excellence is a smelly pile of crap after all?
