Danville police solve robbery within a few hours

Danville’s police department gets it done again.

From our friends at the Danville Police Department…

At approximately 2:02PM, today Danville Police responded to a reported robbery at the Nature’s Essentials store at 107 Mall Drive. The clerk at the store reported that a male subject came in to the store, produced a gun, and demanded money from the register. She said after the subject took an undisclosed amount of cash he then ran out of the store. The subject was last seen running towards a wooded area behind the AT&T Wireless retail store. A search was then initiated by police units. A Danville man Shauntra Poole age 20 was eventually located in the Pleasant View Apartment Complex. Poole was taken in to custody. Poole was charged with armed robbery, and use of a firearm in commission of a felony for his role in the robbery. There were no reported injuries in this incident.

Well done, folks!

I’ve been thinking again, now follow me here… A lot of of the northside’s problems have been traced to Purdum Woods, the recent gun scare at DCC was traced to Cardinal Village, still with me? Okay, nearly everything on Piney Forest road leads to the suspects headed for Woodside, and much of Riverside’s problems, and the recent robbery of the health food store lead back the Pleasant view. Why don’t we bulldoze those sections of town, and eliminate 90% of the crime in Danville?
    Just a thought.
